2days CBDRM Workshop was conducted in Makham Tao Sub-District, Watsing District, Chainat Province on 5-6 July, 2012. This area is located beside Chao Phraya River and was affected by severe flood in latter half of 2011.
Early Warning and Evacuation Plans for 3 villages were prepared through the Workshop. After completion of the planning, Village Authorities will submit the plan to DDPM Provincial Office.
Unfortunately, electricity was off in the morning session of the 1st day. So introduction session of disaster management and CBDRM approach was conducted with textbook instead of power point presentation.
On the Workshop, participants joined from not only 3 villages but also other villages in Makham Tao Sub-District and learn how to prepare the Early Warning and Evacuation Plan.
