CBDRM Workshop was conducted in Nam Pern Sub-District, Khao Chamao District, Rayong Province on 12-13 July, 2012.
This CBDRM Workshop aimed to prepare the Early Warning and Evacuation Plan for 7 villages in Nam Pern Sub-District.
The workshop was led by Rayong DPM (Disaster Prevention and Mitigation) Provincial Office mainly but DPMRC (Regional Center) 17 (Chantaburi) supported the workshop since the RC was going to hold Disaster Management Drill in this area on 8-9 August. IRPC, a major petrochemical company in Thailand, supported the workshop also. Because IRPC has some petrochemical complex in Rayong, IRPC has some special staff who have knowledge and skill about disaster management.
The workshop was well prepared and more than 50 people from 7 villages participated the workshop. At the end of the workshop, Table Top Exercise (TTX) was also conducted to test the plan prepared in the workshop.
